RAPE & SEXUAL ABUSE

Rape is one of the most devastating things that can happen to a person, one thing is more devastating, it happening to a child.

People find many ways of dealing with the mental issues attached to rape. These signs can be clearly seen by the outside world but not as easily identified as a problem associated with rape trauma.

Unusual behaviour, like being quiet for a period of time when that person is not normally that way. Like wise a quiet person might deal with it the other way and become loud, even abusive towards people they like. This would be a way of causing attention to a problem indirectly, “I WANT HELP” in disguise sort of. If your carers are trained to pick up these signs you may get the attention you need to address this problem, but more likely it will go unrecognised and staff end up putting entries in your “permanent file” saying you're mouthy, cheeky, abusive and any other problems you might have been showing while trying to grab some ones attention.

There are many signes you might be giving out while trying to get the REAL problem adressed, one way I reccommend is to come right out and ask for it. Not always easy to do but it does get the right type of attention.

You will need to find someone you trust to talk with first as there may be consequences after you tell them certain stuff. Different people have different confidentiality policies and may need to tell other people, this shouldn't put off talking with someone, you just need to be clear first on what there confidentiality policy is.

"When a person been raped the person feel degraded they also think to themselves that they deserved it and its there fault some people know the person who have raped them and that is classed as techincal rape if a person gets raped by someone they dont know its hard for that person as well because they got to try and get the person done and the police might never find that person where the person is someone you know the victim can tell the police who they are but the victim still got to prove that the person raped them by having all the tests doneto prove it also its not just women its men as well who are raped and men find it hard to come forward to report a rape because they feel that the police dont belive them there should be councilling for men as well as women who as been raped."
